Analomink isAnlomink United Methodist Chruch a town (tiny) just outside of Stroudsburg on Route 191/447. There's a post office, deli, church and a bar. If you blink you'll miss it! Analomink is served by the Stroudsburg School District. Analomink is supposedly a Native Amercian name meaning "tumbling water"- but nobody is sure how much truth there is to that. The Analomink Rod & Gun Club, Penn Estates are two area developments near Analomink. There are a few more newer subdivisions on Cherry Lane Road. There's a very nice soft serve ice cream stand (wooded & shady) a mile or so up the road. There is also a recycle center drop off on Route 191/447 just outside of the town. There are long term plans for a train station to be built along Route 191 to serve NJT and the commuter rail  train. Just up the road from Analomink is the former Penn Hills Resort. Widely known for its classic Pocono heart shaped tubs-when you drive past the now closed resort take a moment to note the outdoor lights which were relocated from the 1964 Worlds Fair!
